What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 439

Well, good practice didn't last long! I've been overtaken by events and as usual and quite rightly really, the hobby stuff has taken a slide on the old priority list. There's the makings of a card for the Marython. The lovely mini tote that Jan made me is full of stuff that I take to Crops. It's on the desk surface because it was on the chair and I needed the chair to put a Big Shot on. I needed to put the Big Shot on the chair because the space where my Big Shot lives is taken up with a Big Shot. Of course there's a story. Mine has broken. And I seem to be unable to take 3 minutes to make the replacement feel at home! You can make out the bag full of new badges at the back too...out to remind me to get a move on with sending them out. There's a finished card on the deckchair, but you can barely see it. I'm off to visit the facial physio gals today, am thinking this may be my last consult!
Please share your desk and doings...link your blog here, and please put WOYWW in your post title.

Oh there had to be a plus point to waking so early and there was, number ONE spot. BJ does happy dance..... Big Shot broken, oh no, what happened? I went through a few Quickutz scissor die cutter tools but fortunately my Cuttlebug is holding out. Glad to see you have a replacement though. BJ#1

Good morning Julia. I hope the physio goes well. I'm used to seeing little projects on your desk to give me ideas. Poor big shot .... I never realised they could break! Shows what a newbie I am. Take care, and have a lovely week, Heather #7

I'm glad the tote is still going strong! I don't know what it is with the universe but time seems to be disappearing into a black hole.... Hope the physio goes well today, amazing job you and the girls have done 😊

Good luck with the facial gals! Bet you are their most amazing patient. Could be the pin up to show what can be achieved with hard work
Now that is a desk! Great tote that Jan made you, just the thing for that expanding pile of stuff you need to take to crops and things. Shame about the Big Shot, I thought they were invincible.
Enjoy whatever the week brings.

What a pain about the Bigshot - mine broke last year and it was very difficult throwing out the old one - hubby wanted to keep it for parts when the new one broke but I can't stand storing stuff for 'just in case' scenarios, so we compromised and kept it until a couple of months ago - so according to s**s law it's just about time for the new one to break!!
Good luck with the physio gals,
Hugs,

Hi Julia. My workspace/room looks pretty much the same :-) I don't know how folks can keep very tidy when crafting - wish I knew :-) Hope you are having a better week this week. Dread the big shot breaking but there are I suppose worse things than that - it's only an object - I would be gutted though :-) Hope all goes well for the appointment. Anne x #16

Good Luck with your Physio Gals, hope they sign you off for good behaviour. Lots of things on your desk look familiar including the upside pot of glue, guess it's getting low, like mine. I have so many upside pots getting the last drop out of them, lol.
Have a good week

I knew instantly that was one of Jan's creations! What a lovely tote! Oh the Big Shot - I used to have one, but I sold it and how I wish I haven't! I didn't realize they can go wrong too - being mechanical and all - but I guess everything can break in the long run. Happy WOYWW!

Hope today goes well...does talking count as facial physio? 😋
More to the point....HOW did you break the big shot?!!! I thought I had (handle fell off when putting too much leather and wood veneer through mine) but luckily it just worked loose so now I tighten the handle once a year. Do tell, as that is going some girl!!!

Hi Julia, hope the physio goes well and that really is it. Poor Big Shot, but I can understand why it was replaced so quickly. I was lost without my Grand Calibre when it was temporarily out of commission. I may have a new desker for us. Not Eva, she isn't blogging yet, but another crafty long distance friend of mine. Best Wishes for your visit to the facial gals. Don't let them lose your smile. Oh, poor Mr.Big Shot, had mine for years but had to send him to the metal shop. I love that product and it's replacement was top priority. I love that bag. I've that exact fabric Jan used as the liner. Love how she patch worked it all together. Nice size too. Cute little cutouts, and I like the looks of those marking pens. Have a fun day while you are away. I'm off to mom's.

Always a pleasure to visit your desk and the chair ;) and I spend quite some time looking at the photo and puzzling over things... (what the heck is that orange 'thing' hanging on the door/window knob?) Hope your appointment goes well, keep smiling dear! Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #19

LOL I had to laugh at the Big Shot musical chairs. While my Vagabond hasn't totally quit, it does get tired and stop in the middle of a cut sometimes... more frequently of late. So I bought the Vagabond 2. I didn't want to be in the middle of a project and be stuck. I've had the Vagabond 2 for over a week... and in the box BY the cutting station it still sits. LOL Let's pledge to have both of our machines in position by next Wednesday, shall we? LOL Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #27

Good Morning Julia, I hope it was a good visit with those gals :) and that is very cool that you were able to replace the machine quickly. I think that is something I would totally cry over when mine dies. ( its funny how fast I loved diecutting when I tend to think of my self as more of a stamper) :) ~Stacy #29

Oh I think I see a nice duck egg coloured bigshot just peeking in at the left hand side of the pic - love the colour - it would co-ordinate with my craft room and typewriter!! - jealous or what! I have the Vintaj bigkick which is mostly brown and beige with nice turquoise swirls!

Hi Julia, late again, had an appointment with my Docs nurse for a dressing change, then an appointment for a physio assessment on my right shoulder- perfectly timed, as it's now pretty much better! All I seem to do lately is visit either hospitals or GP. I'm sure the Big Shot is enjoying it's stint on your chair, probably making it feel very important. :) Hoping your appointment went well- it does feel good when they say they're done with you! Love & Hugs, Shaz XxX

Good luck at your appointment! And I'm glad to see your desk back in multi-project mode. Think of having the Big Shot there as being closer and more convenient for work.
Have a great week.

Oh no, not another Big Shot! I thought mine was going a couple of weeks ago, when a lady in class put a large embossing folder through at a funny angle. I heard the noise and thought its time was up. Luckily the only casualty was the EF. And yes, I now have the "When I'm cleaning windows" tune in my head. Thanks for that!

I just got a new Big Shot too! It's lovely to be able to cut dies all the way through over the entire die. The tote is lovely, and your desk looks crafty : D

Fairly normal looking desk there, more stuff than you have space for.
Hope your physio is more productive and less painful than mine.

Thank you for your visit, Julia, and for keeping me on track - I sometimes get a tad performance-oriented which isn't a good thing!! I would like to get that album finished, though, because I've decided not to start anything else until I do. Glad you liked the look of my bread - wish you could have tasted it! Sorry to hear you broke your old BigShot. I am sure it gets a lot of use! No doubt the new one will feel properly welcome in due course! I haven't got a BigShot - just a little Cuttlebug. It would be nice to be able to do some bigger stuff but then I'd have to invest in a whole lot more embossing folders, wouldn't I! What a hardship.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Thanks for the visit Julia... of course I was in such a hurry when I linked up that I never stopped by to say hello. Big Shot 2 is obviously a testimony to the amount of crafting you do. Painting has completely taken over from crafting at my desk. Although I will whip up some Xmas card at some point. Have a great week.

Hi Julia, I hope the visit to facial physio went well and that it was indeed your last one. I'm recovering from a fall - much less important but it stopped me in my tracks for a while. As a result my to-do list has now become a priority list and like yours mike just take a slide for hobby stuff! Have a great weekend. Hugs, Elizabeth x #37
